We invite you to relax in the Volcanic Eifel and feel completely at ease in our vacation apartments.
You can either book the individual apartments or the whole house as a group/family.
Stollenstube
It is small, but extremely comfortable. A sofa bed with box spring function ensures the best sitting and lying comfort.
The kitchen is of course fully equipped, as is the bathroom.
The Stollenstube is the ideal accommodation for singles or couples who like it cozy.
Get to know us
The Stollenstube was named after the Maarstollen, which is currently being made accessible to visitors.
The wall made of facing bricks is an eye-catcher to match its namesake.
On 24 square meters you will find everything you need.
The Stollenstube is a studio apartment - everything in one room with the highest possible level of comfort.
The apartment is at ground level.
There is seating and a barbecue in the courtyard to really enjoy warm days.
When extended with an extra topper, the box-spring sofa offers you a very comfortable bed with a lying surface of 160x200 cm.
The TV is flexibly mounted on the wall so that you can decide whether you want to watch from the sofa or the dining area.
The bathroom has been modernized and offers everything you need for personal hygiene, even in the smallest of spaces.
The infrared cabin in the wellness corner also invites you to relax.
You will find bathrobes in the Stollenstube.
Burgstube
Exquisite and with a flair of chivalrous accommodation.

Located on the second floor, you have a view of the Maar from the living room.

We have tried to make it much more comfortable and convenient for you than the knights who lived in the castle just 100 m away.
On 42 square meters you will find everything you need for a stay.
The kitchenette is fully equipped for excursions into the culinary world.
Enjoy your meal afterwards with a view of the Maar or on the terrace in the courtyard.
Comfortable sleep is important to us.
That's why the Burgstube also has a box-spring bed with maximum comfort on a 160x200 cm surface.
You can choose the firmness of the mattress yourself. Please let us know at the time of booking whether you prefer H2 or H3.
Of course, we can also provide you with bed linen for allergy sufferers on request.
The box-spring sofa can be pulled out into a bed with a sleeping area of 160x200 cm for two additional sleeping guests - or if you prefer to stretch out and watch TV.
Alternatively, you can enjoy a lovely evening on the terrace.
You can end the day in separate seating areas.
Maarstube
It is the brightest room.
Located directly under the roof, it conveys a touch of freshness and youthfulness.
For 2-4 persons.
Welcome under the roof
From each of the dormer windows, you have a view of the Maar - even of the information platform built in 2019.
The sloping roof creates a very special flair.
Every possible comfort is available to you on 42 square meters.
Please note that you can only reach the Maarstube via two staircases
It's springtime in the bedroom all year round.
A box-spring bed with a 180x200 cm mattress base ensures the best possible sleeping comfort, because a good night's sleep is important
From the skylight in the kitchen you have a wonderful view of the town of Ulmen.
Both during the day and in the evening. Ulmen is beautifully illuminated.
And the same applies here:
Comfort is our priority.
Here too, the sofa is equipped with a box-spring function and can be extended to form a 160x200 cm bed.
All bed linen for allergy sufferers is available on request.

Allergy-friendly
We have designed all apartments and the house in the best possible way for allergy sufferers. On request, we can also provide extra bed linen for allergy sufferers for a small surcharge.
Please note that we therefore do not accept pets.
Die Ritterstube
Haven't you always wanted to be a knight or a noblewoman?
Your childhood dreams will come true here.
You will spend your vacation in truly princely chambers.
The vacation home is located directly beneath the ruins of Ulmen Castle, which was once home to the lords of Ulmen Castle. It is only a 5-minute walk from the town center, the old village square, the stores and the Maar.
You can reach the town even faster via a hiking trail.
The house is suitable for up to 6 people and is ideal for families or - with the rental of Ferienhaus Maar - for your family/clan reunion, especially because it is so close to the other vacation home.
There are two separate bedrooms, a bathroom, a large, light-flooded eat-in kitchen and a living room.
Outside you will find a patio area in the courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue and a lockable cellar for bicycles, baby carriages and the like.
100 square meters of living space are waiting to be revitalized so that you can laugh, sing and feel good.
Children will have lots of fun here. They can dress up and play damsels and knights.
Card and board games are available as well as suitable costumes.
Please note that the house is only accessible via two high staircases.
The staircase inside is a real staircase, the steps are very high and sometimes a little uneven. We therefore ask you to take great care - especially for children.
The equipment of the Ritterstube also includes
Washing machine and tumble dryer are available on request for a small additional fee.
The living room includes a large LED TV and an extraordinary fireplace console (with electric fire).
There is also a sofa with sleeping function (box spring bed) with a lying surface of 200x160 cm.
The two beds are exceptional unique pieces, the furniture in the whole house is partly antique.
Please treat the furnishings with care.

Side rails are available for children, which we will be happy to attach or place in the room if required.

Then simply rent the Ritterstube and Bauernstube together!
There is room for two more people and there is an additional kitchen (and a vault for cozy evenings if the weather doesn't play along).
Bauernstube
Old houses deserve to be saved. They are witnesses to history. Not just historically, but also stories of families. Happiness, love and dramas have taken place here. Sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller.
If the walls could tell a story ... but sometimes they do!
You simply have to look closely - and listen.
And because I am firmly convinced that every house has a soul (usually souls like a diva has: meaning that the soul of an old house needs to be treated with sensitivity), it should be cared for, revitalized, given gifts and treated with great sensitivity.
To bring it back to life and fill it with laughter and joy, we have set ourselves the task of restoring this gem to its original splendor - or rather, we want to make it even shinier than it ever was!
This requires two things above all: patience and - yes - listening!
And finally the time has come: it is ready to welcome you.
Wellness in the stable
We have also set up a wellness corner for the Ritterstube and Bauernstube.
There is an infrared cabin in the former cowshed.
Here, too, you can choose: radio or your own music via USB connection, light therapy and enjoy as warm and as long as you like!
